A very rare French 1930’ s Burr Walnut Pedestal Desk.
The original leather covered central insert panel lifts out to reveal later finely worked
chess and backgammon boards.
Slides to the sides of the top have later fine leather inserts.
Each pedestal has a cabinet with a single shelf. The whole is raised on stepped plinths.
